I am with you
@ChargerChallenger, I use and believe the best setting for the street is default. On several 0-60 tries, my best times overall are when I forget to set anything. Your right, on a roll, the default provides quite a good kick down if you are not too quick with the right foot IMO also. Track tranny and/or the quick foot seems like it often provokes the “hiccup” for the next shift, which can be real embarrassing.
For the track, no doubt, 100% Track Mode. It flat does not perform the very beneficial downshifts which help braking for the corners right on the money unless it is in Track Mode. The other item I need to play with is something I noticed in the chicane at Road America. When I pulled it down to hold a gear with a paddle (quick tap to the downshift paddle), the supercharger whine seemed to diminish. When I flip back to total auto (holding upshift), almost immediately the whine increased, even while it was in the same gear. I need to look at some of my films. It still has more power than a guy needs in most situations, except the big straights. So lots to play with and look at when not actually on a course and concentrating on several other things. These things have a pretty deep personality provided by those computers.
