Welcome! I received my kit Tuesday. For the price, it’s damn near a public service. The packaging, instructions and pieces are top notch, imo.

Yeah, but you get a template that looks to be foolproof and easy to do. I’m not going to install mine until my next oil change.

Making room for tools was a priority of mine in the design. The jaws of your backup wrench, like a crescent wrench for example, can fit over the aluminum block while you break loose and tighten the drain plug.

Here's pictures of the access opening in both the Charger and the Challenger after the kit is installed. In both cases the neighboring oil return line is actually closer to the aluminum block area than the edge of the front shield, after the cut is made.

Thank you!
James

Welcome. Will be installing an APR splitter on my 19 Challenger HC.
Will have to see how that overlaps area before deciding on kit.
Love the concept.

I was thinking of installing a Fomoto drain valve in this location. Has anyone else done this? If so, can you provide pictures?

I also was looking at using one of these valves.
Does anyone know what the thread is on the oil cooler plug?

And I just ordered the oil cooler access kit. Great design. (y)
