2DC8B39D-6EAB-4E1F-B884-8F7A84E8BA8D.jpeg Flat spot runout and burn up some of last years fuel. Ran it for about 1.5hrs. Car ran great. Ran up on a New Plum Crazy 392 wide body Scat Pack. Those cars are pretty quick. I wasn’t catching him on a roll from about 30mph on up, and Ive got 4:10’s. Next time Ill see him out there with the HC!

Great looker. Yes, the bar is totally different now that it was then. 30 years ago my dad told me "how can these cars today be so much quicker than in the 50s and 60s?" He didn't need me to tell him. No on likes to see the roll of time turn your beloved street killer into a "nice classic."

Anyone go with you? A good cruise is even better if there is someone you can share it with who can appreciate it.

Thanks for the kind words Magnified. Sometimes my wife goes with me but she does more bitching than anything, especially in the HC. She barks out all potential, and not likely at all, threats. “Watch out for this guy, that guy is coming into your lane”, blah, blah, blah. Honestly, its more enjoyable if I go by myself, driving the cars gets my mind off of everything. My time!

Nice ride!! Love the old B bodies. I'd love to take an old B body and throw in a more modern drivetrain and tweak up the suspension a bit. My engine of choice for a reliable old cruiser would be the 6.4 with A8. Is that a 71 or 72?

Finding a nice 69-72 model (Charger/Satellite/Coronet worth doing anything to is hard to find nowadays. Even basket cases go for big money it seems....then try to find parts for them.

Used to own a '72 Charger back in the day...owned it for probably 15 years, but it only had the ole trusty 318 2 barrel and A904 trans with some kind of highway gear. Handled like a grocery cart...but it wasn't a RT/SE or Super bee either....

Thanks Confuzed. Its an all numbers matching ‘71. I would have gone the resto mod way if it wasn’t a numbers car. Hell, it’s got 4 wheel drums. Stops like a freight train...

Beautiful car, love the color combo. The 383 was no slouch, not as fast as a HC, but I bet she still brings the thunder !

Thanks tk, the roads here are pretty open as well so good time to get out. I'm still running around with a 2018 Inspection sticker so abandoned streets makes it tough to hide from the PD. Just looking at the mileage from when that sticker was applied to yesterday, I've put only like 311 miles on the car!
