Had to run up to Denver from ABQ, 430 miles in 5.5 hours and check out my MPGs - I reset it when I started the trip - not something you typically brag about with these cars but I thought it was pretty good! I did 85+ mph pretty much the whole way.

These cars are GREAT cruisers! For comfort and style - and even pretty damn good gas mileage too!
If you have ceramic spray wax or something similar on your car those bugs will glide off when you get home to wash it --
With my Redeye driving from Minneapolis to the Black Hills in South Dakota (about a 9-10 hour drive and 625 miles) I would get about 22mpg, with the 3.09`s. My 2017 Hellcat with the 2.62`s would do 1 mpg better and come in at 23mpg. Never got to 25 mpg though! That Denver to Albuquerque drive is a nice drive!!

What brought you to Denver?

How is the smoke here compared to ABQ?

You need to take a few more trips, Eric, that's not even close. Besides, I don't see a single bird in the grille.

But your mileage doesn't really surprise me. Our Redeye has been in the 24+ mpg for the past three tanks now, and that's hand calculated.
Meanwhile, the regular 'Cat usually never gets over 22. Must have something to do with the nut behind the wheel in that one.

Those numbers are on point. I think the best I did on my RE was 23mpg with the 2.62's. And that was nowhere near 85mph steady cruise! Although it seems to be getting better mpg now with my new tune. The timing was kicked up, and although that helps make power when on it I think it's helping mpg when putting around also. I'll have to check and see again.

Ah, there's your problem. To reach 24 you need to drive faster, and stomp on it when passing other traffic.

Great report Eric! Which gear set is that? OEM tires/wheels?

Plus you were comfy, looking good and could have pasted most of the other cars on the road if you wanted. Great cars.

Happy to report we are home safe. 860 miles in 27 hours, got a good sleep and appointment in too. Car is such a highway cruiser and bruiser. @DGatzby not one car got past us ;). Did a few blasts to 125+ redlining 4th gear where car pulls crazy strong playing with a few cars, one modded Cummins felt like burning some fuel...
In sport mode the car gently runs up to almost 100 mph in 8th gear and it's still at only about 2000 rpms.
I have 2.62s and the 285/35r20s - broken in my someone you know - Pilot Sport 4s that I got from @Jimmy N. a little over a year ago, they are almost to the wear bars!
@BULL i would say smoke is about the same in New Mexico vs Colorado. We were in Highlands Ranch at the Children’s Hospital there for my daughters appointment. Everything went well, we had time to drive into the Ferrari Dealer to peek around :)

Couldn’t rest until the car was clean tonight.. Got 24 mpg on the way back, filled up with Phillips 66 premium unleaded, first time ever in 2 years car has not had Shell or Chevron, almost always run Shell. Let it idle as I did a Nascar style fuel up in Walsenburg, that may have been enough to kill the number. Anyway, love Denver and Colorado!

Seriously I think there is something to this...8th gear is only at like 1800 rpms at 85 mph

Hmm. No wonder I got a speeding ticket when I went up there.
As I recall I spent about 10 hours to do some 660 miles. And that included buying some wheels and shooting the crap for an hour or so, plus two fuel stops.
