Rear wheel well liners

Do you guys that race alot or run low 9s or 8s remove your rear wheewell plastic liners? Fronts also?

I haven’t. They have been trimmed to clear the tires in the rear where they would hit but with all the rubber that comes off the tires from the burn out I wouldn’t want it on anything but the liners.

It makes an awful mess in you wheel wells . Its easier to replace the liners if needed . Plus the liners don't weigh that much if you are worried about the weight .
