I've always said if the manufacturers would bring back the old muscle cars exactly as they looked but with modern drive train, suspension, etc. that they'd sell a kajillion.

Shit looks like everything fun is $150k for starters now. Either keeping the RE or someone can buy it for $150k

I would really prefer modern muscle to retro cars. Seems to me the interest in that generation is waning?

Not sure I'd buy from these guys even if I was willing to pony up $150K for a 'replica'. There were a lot of issues with the TA's - both in QC and l-o-n-g delivery times. I know one of the huge pissers was they would take orders (and deposits) but then push off builds/deliveries if some 'celeb' wander in & wanted one.

Kids still drool over the muscle cars
Especially when they sound all pissed off to boot.

Modern stuff is cool, nothing sounds like a cammed up big block with headers

Agreed. A lumpy cam with that barely idling throaty sound...

Currently making my 55 a clone of a 60/70s hot rod.
Its a hell of an endeavor but its going to the chassis shop to get the rear end and trans lined up for the drive shaft (i hate not having access to a lift anymore).

I have my eyes on a 70 Chevelle with a bbc that was kind of a pro street deal but the guy wanted to put in on the street because its mega clean.
I might do a RS chassis with a stick. Especially since I cant seem to get a Hellcat. I'll order a crate and find a Mustang and stuff it in there.

Why can't you get a Hellcat?

Something tells me that these won't actually be replicas but current Camaros that if you squint or look at it from it certain angle it just might resemble a Chevelle but not really.

I'm with Boris above. All you need is a VIN tag, start with a Dynacorn shell and build from there.

I like watching Peterson Restorations on Youtube. Strictly vintage Mustangs however. Give him a bucket of rust dust, and if he can stick his hand in and pull out a VIN tag, *poof* he's built a brand new Mustang around it.

That's in my range for a 68 or 69 Charger R/T SE but, not a Chebby.

If it's brand new with a modern drivetrain it's a different deal.

Why can't you get a Hellcat?
Long story short
HO Hellcats are shut off from ordering unless you get a JB.

Talking with the MSRP dealers - no allocations.
Allocations i have found are ADMs.
Other dealers on the JB list on Dodge Garage also do not have any allocations

Im holding out for a S/S. Worst case scenario, i get a JB and just order the 3.09 gears and have a 1 option JB LOL. But I don't want that.
