I really wanted the legmaker intake but liked the idea of the stock airbox, so i picked up a spare box and dremeled a bit to get it to fit. Just going to go back in and patch up some of the gaps now that it’s in

Interesting!

It would at least seem to isolate the intake a bit from the engine bay heat? Maybe...

Hopefully it doesn't in turn restrict air flow.

It does seem like it could be somewhat restrictive @ WOT applications given reports I've read about the massive amounts of air these monsters gobble up...and @ speed..one would think the engine bay would have a more than adequate supply of fresh cool air.....but I've been wrong before...

Cool, I thought about getting a piece of carbon fiber from McMaster and cutting a heat shield for my lmi but never got around to it. I’m honestly happy the way it is. I also have the old hood so I use the cover to help keep water off

Yea that’s what i was thinking. 3 different points of air coming in. We’ll see. If it because a problem the box comes out. The intake wasn’t touched.

What IAT's you guys seeing in traffic? I've only had mine in the cool months (40's - 70's here currently) and I can get up to about 140 Degrees in light stop and go traffic. How high do your IAT's get?
