Land Speed Trials Sept 5-7 Limestone ME

Loring Timing Association will hold a Harvest Event, Land Speed Racing to 1mi, 2km and 1.5mi. This will happen ONLY if 50 people register by the end of the week. This is your chance to do something that should be on every car guy's bucket list. It is short $ for a spectacular experience. If you don't do this, you are nuts!!!

HC's are Supercar Class. Requirement are minimal, like fire extinguisher, speed rated tires (OEM's qualify), Snell helmet, non-synthetic clothes, etc. (A $90 racing jacket is a good idea.) Read the rule book, focus on the "Supercar" section, and I will try to help with questions.

I would be surprised if it happens @2ndAmend. Limestone, ME in the far Northeastern most part of the State is a little remote for about 99.9% of the Hellcat owners here. It’s also really not “short $” to get the experience.

If it was closer...(within 200/250 miles) I would consider it...kind of a bucket list thing I guess...I would imagine doing it with any degree of frequency,,has gotta be taxing on any vehicle...Plus 1800 plus mile round trip towin my Cat...I'll pass

Short money for a experience that you will fondly remember for the short rest of our lives. Maybe far for FL, but anyone within a day's drive (700mi) should do it.

Quite literally couldn’t be any farther from there in CONUS. 🤣

I do love me some LSR but that’s WAY too much of a stretch. I’d really like to do an event longer than the 1/2 mile one I’ve done locally a few times but a third that distance is pushing it for me, and I’d tow it anyway, you do not want to break something that far from home.

I hope there’s enough registrants to make it happen. The local event I was doing recently got unexpectedly cancelled by the town council with no reason given to the race organizer, he basically got a thanks but no thanks, ain’t happening again form letter. Sucks…🤬
