So if you're unable to successfully "Resync Interface" as part of your initial MPVI2 setup and you're not able to get Win10 to cooperate with your efforts, to include manually downloading and installing the optional MPVI2 drivers at the HP Tuners download page, try this:

With the MPVI2 connected to your USB hub/port, go to your Win10 update, and then further select the optional updates. There will be (may be?) an optional driver there "FTDI - USB".

Magic...

Also, avoid USB hubs as well. While I did have SOME success with one, it has been flaky.
