I drove the Redeye last Friday and the garage door opener worked fine. Today nothing. I tried reprogramming with a fresh battery in the hand held remote and nothing.

This happened once before and I called Homelink and they walked me through a process that’s different then what’s in the owners manual and it worked fine. I don’t recall the steps.

Any help appreciated.

Once you reprogram the button you have to resync the Homelink button with the opener using the program button on the back of the opener unit. At least that is how mine works.

Well after clearing all the old codes out of Homelink and attempting to reprogram 6 times, it finally works

I still wonder why it lost the code in the first place?

I suspect it means that something is wrong with either the Homelink unit or the door opener. Ours have been programmed for as much as 10 years now and never lost sync. Any chance somebody is holding down the individual Homelink button long enough that it erases the single button? Also most door openers will only hold X number of remotes, sometimes 7. If you program another remote the oldest programmed one gets deleted.

Hold down the Homelink button To long, I’m not sure what you mean. My 2015 Hellcat has held the code since 2015. My 2008 Challenger which I sold last August held its code since we moved into the house in 2012. We only have 3 cars on the Homelink at this time.

Thx for the input.

Maybe I have the Homelink system confused with the Lear system in my truck or some other system. I thought if you held one button down long enough it went into program mode and then you did not program it the code would be erased and just that one the button cleared. Maybe not though. Glad you got it working and hope it stays that way.

How old is the garage door opener?
One of my Chamberlain's? went south and I had to replace the computer board.
It did all sorts of weird shit prior to that.
The Chamberlain's were 14? yrs old.

I’ve heard LED bulbs in the opener can mess things up. [dunno]

I put LEDs in, opener went off the deep end.

Pulled them out, tried both incandescent and halogen, works perfectly.

$2.50

FCA’s flavor of HOMELINK SUCKS!!!!!!!!

I couldn’t tell you how many mopar vehicles I’ve owned since homelink was introduced... and guess what? It’s never worked right.

2017 Chevy? Set it up once the day we got it. Worked perfect since.

I gave up on trying to get any mopar vehicle to use homelink.

I've never had an issue with any of my cars other than the stupid set-up procedure. My opener did 'drop' one of my older Infiniti's for some unknown reason a few years ago & I had to re-program it.

We had the house built in 2012 so not to old. It worked fine with the other cars. The Redeye has done this twice since I got it last August. I got it working now so we shall see.

Only problem I have encountered is the newest openers installed last year in the new house have additional security and would not work with the 2010 Jeep Homelink. I had to buy a Homelink bridge to make it compatible. The new openers do not work with my 2011 GMC Lear system either but I did not bother to by the bridge for that. Just use the remotes that came with the openers.
