Depending.on the facts in a case by case basis, most customers actually arrested will stand zero chance of winning anything. This is an age old scam I have seen first hand. Rent the car with a new CC you have no intention of ever.making payments on, then each time the period is up, call in to make a payment, they'll eventually be denied and the company stiffed, while the dead beat has been driving the car for weeks or months. With no insurance or any type of maintenance, etc.... unless they have remote kill switches the company has little recourse but to report the vehicle stolen.

In this particular case, the instances I'm aware of are people who have not responded to numerous contact attempts and not made payments in weeks or months. Have at them, I say. Dead beats are dead beats.
