Has anyone upgraded the BASE 6 spkr stereo system?

SO like the title says, anyone with a Base radio system upgraded theirs with an amp and/or new speakers? I have the alpine system in my T/A now and like it, its fine for what I need and want but Im thinking anything less and Id be disappointed, particularly when driving with the windows down etc.

Im Looking at MAYBE trading my T/A 392 for a 1320 to use the power rebates, and as it always is with dealer ordered cars, they always have some weird combo of options. I found a PCP 1320 on the lot locally with 90% of what I want on the car EXCEPT it has the base 6 speaker radio. I drive quite a bit and a good sound system is higher on the list for me and Im wondering if there are any options to beef it up without replacing the head unit. I imagine there are but what was the cost and result.

Always got the HK.
Had Alpine in my scat.
But both HC's have the HK.
No help, but someone with info should chime in?

Unfortunately the car I was looking at sold before I was able to make a deal. Dealers always seem to order the base radio in 1320s, I guess to keep weight/price down. I did go and listen to the base radio. It was better than I thought it would be. Needed a good bit more volume to equal the upgraded alpine but didnt sound that bad...was enough to scare people in the showroom. LOL

Appreciate the link. I found a 1320 with everything I wanted and it has the HK system. Either way your link will be very helpful whether the deal works or not....and when my bank account recovers.

so not to disappoint you, but the Alpine is really not Alpine... Dodge is allowed to use Alpines name only because they use the tunning from Alpine. If you open up your panels and look none of the speakers in your car are actual Alpine speakers, they are these cheap blue colored plasticy feeling speakers. Not even the amp in the car is from Alpine. Im actually adding a Sub, Box, and an amp tomorrow to get a little bit more bass from the system. Only your fronts produce actual bass and not your rears.

I replaced all speakers with hertz audio and it’s night and day difference

are you running the Hertz off of the factory amp?

No I got a 6 ch JL amp for the door speakers and a 2 ch for the sub. You have to get an AP4 module tho to get everything right including door chimes etc you cannot skip this step lemme know if you got questions
