Meh, they saw the light and decided not to get 4-door station wagons, then cancelled their orders.
Meanwhile. Furd is waiting for ChargerChallenger to buy them all.

Don't think I'd buy a new vehicle (with fresh paint) that sat 6+ months exposed to the elements.

Actually, been thinking about this lately. Dealers lots are still naked & have been for a long time, yet there has not been massive layoffs @ the plants ??
Either vehicles are stacking up and aging on lots or these co's are carrying the idle assembly plant folks or ???

All seems very odd IMO.

I was talking to a GM at the local Chevrolet dealership a while back which I have known since the guy worked for my dad. He says GM is making more money selling less cars for more money with less employees and plants. It seems any vehicle I am interested in has went up $20-30K in the past 10 or so years and rebates are small. The dealerships here get one shipment of new per month it seems and sale out quickly. I think Covid allowed GM, Chrysler and Ford to slim down their employees and they haven't been calling them back. But thats just a guess

Yes, but a good one in this case.
Less Furds and fewer 4-doors released to an unsuspecting public is not a bad thing.

There is 1 company stateside that makes microchips in NY… I believe they’re adding infrastructure but I imagine they’re hesitant to invest tens of billions into new products when the American companies will run right back to China for their chips. By the time the plant is up and running China will have completed the cycle of the plandemic and chips will flow again.

Building a chip plant is a major investment and takes up to two years to be up and running. It's happening but like anything it takes time..like deciding to make a baby..however short the initial plans..it takes 9 months to incubate it to see the final product.

Really the blame is on corporate America letting Taiwan make the chips with low cost labor... and promoting just in time and no inventory thinking.

If we have anger we should focus it at the corporate level and the assholes that coined the term "offshore cheap manufacturing"
Like Taiwan and those back stabbing slant eyed Chinese.
We as Americans need to be more involved in who and how our economy is run..

You should hear me..like my wife does on Shark Tank tv night...

Always the conversation turns to...

"Well if we offshore the product in quanity blah..blah ..blah...
We can reduce the incoming cost of (insert any shifty product here)
We can reduce the incoming product cost by (insert any percentage here with the help of a Shark)

We as Americans demand things that cost less..even at the cost of American advantages.

Stockholders and general America wants more for less

Like making sausage..no one wants to know the beginning ..they just want to enjoy the end product..and make it as cheaply as possible.
