Anyone know what this black plastic piece is in the clutch line?

By appearances, it looks like a check-valve, which doesn't make any sense in a clutch...

[???:)]
I even asked the owner Billy of The Bang Shift Billy snd he had no idea, he surmised a filter maybe?

Looks like a quick connect extension to perhaps fit a different Mopar vehicle? Is that a gold colored fitting?

it’s the same female inlet on one side as the male outlet on the other, it’s not just an adapter as it’s not adapting anything to anything. Same in as out.

Perhaps a Govt created solution? Was thinking just a cheap extension… not an adaptor.

Some kind of flow regulator? I may be able to ask the trans guy at the dealer that’s installing my mantic. Cars there now I should get it early next week. I wimped out and had the dealer do it, but certainly would have if I had access to a lift.

Maybe FCA watches us and saw that we were modifying the original design with a deck screw and said, "Well that will never do, watch them try it on THIS style!"

Apparently they've not paid close attention to who we really are...

Well like many things it took taking it apart myself to figure out what it is. Now the big question is should I share and break the hearts and beliefs of many M6 owners or not??🤔

It’s the REAL CLUTCH DELAY VALVE!! I always wondered from the day last year that I broke my Tranzilla and when swapping it out I noticed I didn’t remove the little blue item in the connector that “hey, I really didn’t notice the difference from the HRB from my previous trans that I did take the thing out. Why I asked myself since until today, because it was all a placebo effect!!! That little blue thing is a restrictor no doubt but this black thing is the real device that allows just about full flow one way and spring regulated return pressure the other way. Here’s the guts

The good news? It’s easy to gut it and maybe even enough hose to just remove it and plug the SS hose right into the part that comes out of the firewall, I haven’t tried that yet but will before putting the BSB in.

I fall into the camp of not having been able to tell a difference before/after the mod. I left it alone after doing it.

Now that I see this, and how much more substantial it is, it might be dangerous to remove that much of a "shock absorber"???

You go first...

; )
