Hey Guys,
So I've started a little hobby... making CAD models of the cars I like, well mainly the frame, engine and drivetrain, still trying to improve my CAD skills so that I can do the body as well.
Does anyone have dimensions/drawings of the chassis on the Charger? And also the Hellcat engine?
I have an LS3 that I"m dumping into everything I make... but I need something else...

So far I've built a 1971 Datsun 240Z (frame) (as below), 1974 Mazda B-series, 1990 Mercedes-Benz 190E Evolution 2 (frame). Rotsun #1.PNG

Cheers,
HESH

Not that bad of a model.
I model a Challenger a few years ago and found a blue print for it online. dodge_70.jpg

I would but don't have a 3d printer.

I want to start a Rapid prototyping company with my son. We both know Fusion 360, Solidworks, 3D Studio Max and Zbrush. We have the land and know need a metal building.

Dammmmmmmmm!
And I thought I was good building parts and equipment.
Is that external only, or is the entire car modeled?
What CAD program did YOU use?
The car 3D model doesn't have an interior just exterior.

There isn’t really a chassis on a Hellcat. There is a Kmember up front and a subframe in the back. Unibody inbetween.
I really wanted to get back into CAD, but caved and went with SketchUp when designing the addition on my house.

Currently use ACAD 2018. Have used CATIA, INTERGRAPH, and DIMM III for 3D modeling. Lots of 3D modeling/ part building with ACAD. To me, I'm like a kid in a sandbox when building equipment using ACAD.

Sorry haven't been here in a few days, I use onshape.com, (dont ask me how to register I did it a few years ago and its changed since...)

Pretty cool! Can you 3D print me one of those!
I'd like to... (if you were replying to me...) but my 3D printer isnt working properly ATM...

Haha, I remember getting a lot of flak because other people were jealous of me knowing how to do CAD when they couldn't even draw a 2D sketch...

Yeah I know that but was thinking someone might have the approximate width of the "frame".
I usually just build in some frame rails so I can connect it to my own models.

Also on my '96 Volvo Wagon aka "Vagnen" which is Swedish for "the wagon" does anyone know of a 4.0L V8 that counts as a "Hellcat" motor?

Everything I have done, was done at work.
Would do more at home, but sitting in front of a computer for 12 hours a day kinda wipes me out.

I do have a Dial Micrometer that I built, but my Catia license expired (about 10 years ago), and so, cannot be accessed. Was actually a working tool.

If you are asking to do a build thread for a CAD model, I see nothing wrong with that.
