Ok, here's my thoughts on a very simple, mild/moderate, build

Using the S/C I got from @hellno, I'm going to go after a Flex fuel/E85 build with Dusterhoff doing the tuning.

After a brief conversation(s) with them, the following...

Dusterhoff:
  • FIC 1200 injectors
  • Dusterhoff Dual pumps
  • Crank pin
  • HP Tuners license credits
  • Flex tune
  • PCM
Jokerz:
  • Jokerz ported S/C (already have)
  • Quick Change pulley shaft
  • Recoated rotors
  • New bushings
  • Powder coat lid black
CDT Rotors:
  • HCF 1008-0576 DP Rev A (x2)
Fantom Motion:
  • 2.85 Hellraiser pulley (on its way)
  • Polish snout, bearing plate, body
  • Fuel rail upgrade (per @16GoManGoHC2 )
  • HP Tuners mpvi2
Already in place:
  • Legmaker intake
  • S/C spacers
  • Rear diff brace
Pending/undecided:
  • Throttle body
  • Cooler Plugs???
  • BWoody heat exchanger
  • Clutch
  • D/S
  • N2O
  • Monkey on cocaine in the trunk pushing.

I’m no authority by any means, and have learned alot of what I know about these cars from the members here, with that being said it seems like an awfully mild pulley swap considering the other mods. You may be leaving some easy hp on the table?

Maybe 1300cc injectors? I think 1200 might run out of DC on WOT pulls.

The belief from the guys at Dusterhoff was that the 3.17 will perform like a 2.85 with the ported S/C.

While I don't know this from firsthand experience, it does make some level of sense. I also made it clear that I wanted to stay on the "mild" side of "moderate".

I'm do have plans to be competitive with this, only bump up the performance levels for myself, while keeping a decent helping of durability in mind.

It's also just grabbing back some of the lost performance from FREAKIN' LIVING AT 5000'+ altitude.... :(

Maybe 1300cc injectors? I think 1200 might run out of DC on WOT pulls.
Noted, I was going to dig into injectors more than anything.

Actually, if/when that comes into the stables, it's getting the full treatment for road courses.

You are forgetting one important detail, 6,000 feet above sea level. I would go at least a 2.85 pulley with the lack of air

While less than ideal, for now, I'm going to stick with the stock TB, unless I get kickback from Dusterhoff.

For that power level I wouldn’t waste the money on the throttle body the stock one actually performs very well

@BULL you have a 3.09 pulley with that set up that would perform nicely

I understand, and the $800 cost of the Hellraiser has me thinking about this. (Jesus, they are proud of those, aren't they?)

However, I also REALLY like the de-coupler aspect of the Hellraisers. Having watched the video of the difference between the two types of pulleys, and being that this ISN'T a "racer", I like the durability of the Hellraiser.

But still, $800 for a damn pulley.

Id pin the crank and put that 3.09 up top and let her rip, you’ll love it brother Amd then you can easily go to the 2.79 later because it’s next

I will strongly consider it!

(If I wasn't dumping buckets of money into this other, random part, project that I'm working on, $800 wouldn't be a concern, but as it is, I need a damn conveyor belt to feed the buckets, to then dump into the black hole of a new company.)

It's a good thing your stimulus check just arrived, I assume. Mine came in today and I didn't realize the govt was giving away that much "free" money.

2.85 pulley is closer to $600. You are not at sea level, more boost please:)
