apr front splitter

i heard that when you do an oil change the splitter needs to come off. i wrote the manufacturer. they state they have never heard that this needs to be done. are they just not informed or did they make changes to the front splitter where you can drain both plugs without removal of the splitter. i was thinking about purchasing one as my original one is pretty chopped up.

Apr showed me a picture of a scatpack. I assume the HC has the drainage on the same spots .
