Well, it does say bucket list. That bucket gets kicked sooner than you'd hoped. Looks like someone just pulled out a map and listed the 10 biggest cities along 66.

RT66 is definitely on my bucket list. Definitely going to do more friendly stretches of it.

I live a mile off a 66 city bypass route and a couple of miles off the actual 66 route.

I’d like to do some of Route 66. Not sure I need to see Chicago…

Lived in Flagstaff for a few years and with the exception of the prolific "hippy" population, entitled/easily triggered university students and aggressively confrontational Native Americans...it's a very cool place!

Naw, there's tons of good folks and plenty of awesome pubs/restaurants/taverns and umpteen outdoor places of interest...AWESOME place to off-road (Jeep/UTV) and no shortage of places to hunt, hike, etc. Sedona and the Grand Canyon are relatively close driving distances.

Also home to a giant ass hole in the ground, known as the Meteor Crater. If you're not impressed by a hole in the ground, you will be when you see what a rock roughly the size of a school bus does when it hits the earth from outer space. The largest remaining fragment is about coffee table sized. Pretty trippy that's it's privately owned too and NOT a National Park...

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meteor_Crater

The way things are going lately another school bus sized meteor or ten would do us a lot of good, I recommend that they hit several of the places on the top ten list in addition to Washington DC, NY, San Francisco and several other infested shitholes...

Trust me you want to bypass Albuquerque. It just gets more weird and far more dangerous here everyday! If crazy liberals, illegal aliens, and crime are your thing, then come on down. Be sure to keep at least 1 freedom tool handy on your hip at all times. My XDs .45 is like my American Express card, I don't leave home without it.

At least they didn't suggest stopping in Gallup.

About 20 years ago when I went to St. Louis for a race we went to an ice cream place that was on Route 66. Been to St. Louis 5 times early 2000s and really liked going there. Well east St. Louis since the track is actually in Illinois. Also went in the arch one year

Illinois will throw you in jail for exercising your constitutional rights.
