Thanks for the update, and great slip comparison! Will continue to keep an eye on the thread here obviously, would love a solution on this shift hiccup.

4mph at 660 mark is moving!

What tire were you running on the RE? Air similar? Wind speed? Even with all that, 4mph is a lot for stock v stock comparison

@DRAGRCR

When do you plan on running the hoosiers? Waiting to hear about those. I know you ran them on your Demon, but would like to hear your thoughts on the Redeye as well after you run them. You getting any tire movement on the wheel for your MT ET Rs?

Granted my Redeye is a bit heavier and I'm not at the same track as you. But your MPH is very nice in your Redeye. Highest mph (at a non local track) has been 104.90 (1/8th mile).

108 is some pretty big 1/8th mph. Mine ran that in -1400 DA in Darlington (@ 4425lbs). What was the DA when yours ran the 108?

I don't suppose DA and weight discussions really matter until FCA either fixes your hiccup or buys your car back. It does sound as though your car makes a good bit more steam on top than mine does though...

I'm going to clean the bug guts off mine and go out cruising in it this evening.

My first choice is somewhere in between. I thought I would have an answer today but I still have not received a call from my Level 2 case Manager.

Your car is definitely one that I judge by. I am very pleased with the runs you have made. As has been discussed before the MPH seems to vary greatly and your car does ET really well.
I do hope they can help you figure it out using the stock programming. I think we're pretty much on the same page where 'tuning' our cars is concerned.

As for mph, we both know mine's a bit of a turd. It et's really good but doesn't exactly head out the back door with a big head of steam. I don't really know why it's that way and honestly, until the good air comes back around later in the year I don't much care.

I looked the wheel over today and I think it can be drilled, but the sensor angle to lie on a part of the rim is to great, at least by my eyes. The hole would have to be drilled on an angle to make it work. Kind of worthless with out pics sorry. I'm going to bring it by a fabricator this week and see what he thinks but my gut says I'll be running no tpms in the front.

I see what you mean about caliper to wheel clearance. I mounted my wheel and it looks like 1/8 or so..... it's tight. I get how you mounted the weights now.

I had to take my Win Lites back to Discount Tire after experiencing the clearance issue on the front calipers. They peeled them off and tapped on some knock-ons on the back side.

Curious what you consider middle ground? If you have found a receptive ear and like the car(seems like you do) are you interested in letting them work towards a re-flash of the transmission tuning? I don't know how much you have discussed the problem with the FCA representative, do they assume you are the only one experiencing this or are they like...oh yeah, we know that happens. I also remember @Speedy finding a difference in some kind of torque value in the tune several pages back. Perhaps they would be interested to know that?

@DRAGRCR

Thanks for the info on the tires. Also +2 for hoping Dodge finds a programming solution for this hiccup, that could then possibly turn into an update for us all. I'd love to help contribute to the data logging, for myself and this problem. However, I'll be waiting until our DA drops in Fall (September). All the Covid track rules are annoying as it is. Still waiting on my MPVI2 to arrive as well. Riots have delayed the shipment. Ugh.

I just want to know the reason for this hiccup. Torque management, STKR, or both.

The only thing I'm not 100% sure on yet (waiting for a reply from Curt) is the smart access cable that needs to be installed in order to read/write with MPVI2. While I will be reading only for now, I don't want that access cable interfering with Dodge if they need to clear or read codes themselves. Especially since I'm dealing with 0420 and 0430 codes right now. So I might have to be sitting on stuff for a bit.

Hopefully things get figured out for you bud! I was so glad you joined the Redeye team for your track testing and shared knowledge it would be a shame if we lost you so fast because of a buyback.

The Smart Access cable is not installed. It is USED in conjunction with the MPVI2. It's a "go between" and is removed when not in use along with the MPVI2 and your laptop.

This might help.......
Everywhere I've read your supposed to install the smart access cable inbetween the security gateway and leave it there permanently so your MPVI2 can access the obd2 port. (This is needed for 18+ models). After some searching it looks like the security gateway on a challenger is right next to the radio interface area.

https://www.hptuners.com/product/dodge-2018-smart-access-cable/

That's the cable I'm talking about. Maybe I misunderstand something, but that's how I've read about it so far.
