We all know:
-Car mfr's make $ by selling/leasing new cars to first owners.
-Almost all new cars have 3/36, 5/60 warranties.
-What happens outside warranty is not the mfr's problem.
-Even if a make/model had a reputation for problems beyond the warranty period, it would have little effect on new car buyers, and no effect on lessors.
The people who get the major screw are the ones who cannot afford a new "high end" car and instead buy used.
