I sent a support ticket into QuickJack and got this response...

Good morning and thank you for contacting us. So I attached the photo from the manual in regards to proper approach end. You can honestly configure it however suits you as long as the environment is safe, but have to consider your hose orientation. It is recommended to use the manual for guidance at the end of the day. Stay safe and have a great day !

Since I’ve got side shirts on my car I just position the jacks lift blocks beneath the skirt mounts. They mimic the pinch weld pucks but allow me to get the jacks as far outboard as possible.

Pretty much the same as it’s a fair weather toy for me. With only 7.2k miles it completely sucks I’ve got to track down a coolant leak I noticed when I put it up for the season. My QJ is under my Roadrunner now as I’m treating that to off season refreshing. While I would loved a 4 post, and had my garage built for it, I plan on leaving NY soon, so I didn’t want to have to deal with leaving that. QJ was a very logical and useful choice for me. Crazy what they’re asking now for them though.
