Race Ramps... a must!

For those of us who do our own oil changes, and other light maintenance, these ramps are what fit the bill.

I use the 67" two piece, with a 10" rise. This puts the car WAY up in the air! I've done several oil changes, on my HC Charger and my last car, a 2006 SRT8 Charger. More than enough room to crawl around and get the job done.

My car is stock height. If your car is lowered, you might need another ramp... and they have one to fit just about any stance.

I do no represent, in any way, nor am I affiliated with Race Ramps. I just like the quality and variety of their product. I was using some crappy Rhino ramps and had to put 2x4's in front of them, to get the car up high enough not to scrape the bumper. Not with the Race Ramps. These things are amazing... and much sturdier than the hollow Rhinos (which are fine for smaller cars).

Oh man... they make oil changes a snap!

Next in the list... 7000EXT QuickJack... but that's for another thread :)

My next move is definitely a quickjack. I already have all the pinch weld adapters for it...just waiting to see if I should grab a 5k or 7k.
Save your pinchwelds and get the 7000EXT.

It's a bit longer and reaches the factory lift points, on the car (rear bumper pad and the triangle on the forward subframe).

If the make an EXT in the 5k, that will probably be good enough. I have a couple of 50's Cadillacs that would be a challenge, for the 5k, so I'm going with the 7k :)

Disregard. I see you also have a charger. You sure they reach with the EXT models for us?

I did this before, then got sidetracked and never bought the damn lift. LOL.

They are extenders for 6 more inches, I use either my quick jack or the race ramps depending on what I’m doing. For a oil change the quick jacks are a pain to set up where the race ramps make life quick and easy.

56 inch two piece work for me. I use them for all my cars. Don’t sink into hot pavement like other ramps.

Use mine for every oil change and any under car maintenance or work. I had to buy the extenders because my splitter would catch on them without the extenders.

I used Rhino ramps for a long time with 3/4" plywood run in for the Challenger. It worked but was scary with the Jeep SRT as it wanted to shove the ramps and the steep incline was not good. I got Race Ramps and although pricey the gradual incline makes them a pleasure to use.

I have a set of RR56 2 piece that I had from a previous car and for my mower. The Redeye will clear and goes up nice in the front with these for an 8 inch rise. But the back tires would be a bit wider than the ramps. I usually don't use a creeper. I put down a pice of painters cheap plastic tarp, the dollar stuff! Than just roll around like a caterpillar or slip an slide!

For the same price, go with a Bend-Pak asymmetrical 2 post lift. Thst way, you can do it all.

The cross lift jack that you can get for the 4 post is for the birds.

I've used both 2 and 4 post. I'd go with the 2 post.

A lift for the same price as ramps? You trust your life to that? I am not to enthused.
No... 4 post vs 2 post lift.

Shopping around, if go with the 2 post :)

Love my Race Ramps...hesitated at first due to the price, but bit the bullet and am glad I did. No trepidation about doing work under the car with it on the ramps...and that piece of mind is well worth the cost of the ramps.

Careful if going this route. When I put the frame extentions onto my quick jack, it is too high to fit under the car. So I ended up having to drive up onto some 2X4s anyhow.
