C5 Z06 or a Viper... as if I need another car. Otherwise, a '91-92 Z28 for the Mrs.

I know you said max budget, but if I had it in cash right now, I'd be looking at one of these heavily discounted REs at $62ish

Nothing wrong with having two Hellcats in the garage.
The cheapest I've seen is @66.5K online. Drove one today for 1st time (Used, $71K with 920mi on Long Island). U gotte'm new for @62+ by you?

Koons has a bunch at $62k still I believe. Great deal for someone who strictly wants to race I guess. Not for me. Im lazy and kind of chubby these days. I want my cake and will def eat it too.

I just recently picked up a Toyota Avalon TRD version first time ever offered. She is a really fun car that gives you a sports car feel even though she’s a sedan. And she’s got 300 Hp and moves down the road but she ain’t a HC feel which I like. She’s fun and practical with 30mpg and under 40k discounted. When I jump in my Redeye it’s always a new powerful feeling which brings smiles to miles of driving,

I already did it. I have two Hellcats and I bought a 2019 Shelby GT350. Paid 55900 OTD fully loaded. I've never been a Ford guy or a mustang guy but I have always loved Shelby. The how it happened is a lil interesting. I was at a Chevy dealer literally trying to make a deal on a ZL1 1LE when my buddy called and said he just bought a GT350. I told him where I was and he stopped by. I saw it, heard it and sat in it. I knew I was in trouble. Then I drove it......holy hell. That car feels incredible and it feels very special. I was always afraid coming from a Hellcat it would feel slow. It absolutely does not. It lacks the low end torque but my Gawd does it make up for it. That flat plane crank V8 sounds like nothing else on earth and the gears are so long reving past 8k RPM. The grip is other worldly. I went home did some research, realized I'd had blinders on and started my search.

Found a 2019, Ford Performance Blue with white stripes 3 months old with 1600 miles on it. Bought it the next day. This tastes bad coming out of my Mopar mouth......but I'll say it here...it's my favorite car to drive. It so engaging with that manual and if feels just incredibly special. The motor is hand built by one person and it's on of the few if not the only 500+hp naturally aspirated motors left in existence. The more I learned about the car and it's development the more I fell in love. I would recommend a 2019 for the upgrades that I won't belabor here but very much worth it. Ford Performance made a huge fan out of me pretty quick and I don't give a damn what anybody says.

Hellcat faster in a straight line? Absolutely. It's not even close. The Hellcats have so much torque and ungodly power. I LOVE both of mine. Charge Hellcat I maintain is the best daily and sedan on the planet. Challenger is the best muscle car on the planet but my recommendation is quite enthusiastically for a 2019 GT350. No need for the R in my opinion. The updates for 2019 narrowed the gap so much it's not worth it.

My other votes for the record would be a ZL1 1LE. There are several new 2019s in the very low 60s with lightly used in the high 50s or a Backdraft Racing 427 Cobra. ZL1 is a monster with incredible straight line and track performance. Driven it....love it...still want one. Shelby just had something it didn't. Cobra is a classic, open air, crazy power sound and grip. Amazing to drive and a very unique experience. It is obviously a sunny day only car though and lacks any kind of modern safety features...if you care. My wife does but I'm working on her.

Technically the Backdraft Racing Cobra is a modern car BTW..... it's built new. I think it counts. :)

About a '34 or so Dodge coupe with a Gen3 392 in it, or buy one with a small block Chevy for cheaper and PUT a Gen3 392 in it. Nice (new) 6.1 would do just fine actually.

Okay guys.. a little off topic discussion about general automotive.. so if you were given a 60K max Budget and you had to choose a modern car.. let’s say post 1990.. and you already have your Hellcat or Demon/ SRT in your stable and your Truck. So you can buy new or used with that amount of $ but you have to spend it all. You can’t keep any! Haha.. and it has to be A Car. Most likely a car you Drive for fun on the street. So it has some relatively compliant suspension. We can include the C8 vette. Anyways let’s hear your ideas! You can spend any extra $ on lesser costing vehicles to explain how’d you modify the vehicle instead of per say buying Brand New.

I'd go for a daily comfortable reliable commuter sedan. Must have decent power, lots of luxury and be rear wheel drive. Not be huge. Not be too valuable/nice to worry about getting beat up a bit with the daily grind. Stealthy, not a major head turner but nice looking. Answer, Genesis G70 all wheel drive 365HP twin turbo. Its about $10k short of your $60k must spend though.

Might tip the scales towards 65k but I would buy a wholesale g30 m5, they are advertised as 600hp but with a tune and downpipes circa $2-3k they make as much/more power than a hc(comp not base though base is probably very close) and they are awd, so if it's 0-60 3 seconds(base, comp does 2.8) stock then one can imagine the possibilities, a 10 second car that massages your ass is hard to top, too bad it's nearly double the price of a charger when brand new.

I thought I saw somewhere the Toyota Supra was basically a BMW made for Toyota? Looks like a fun car.
Correct it’s a joint venture and Toyota probably would not have brought the Supra back if it wasn’t for the partnership.

the b58 engine is nice , Toyota got a watered down well detuned version but a jb4 or solid tune should put you at circa 400 hp at the crank.

I just leased a 540i(also b58 but more inline with the x3 m40i probably 380-400 hp stock), in limbo cause the hellcat lease is almost up and not looking good for lease rates on the new charger hc wb, gonna figure out whether I'll go charger wb next year or just jump to the m5.

But you can definitely tell that the z4 and supra are twins just maybe fraternal more than identical, the exhausts have different notes (supra is better) the interiors are noticeable (bmw is superior) and more tech stuff to list off but definitely a fun car with some upgrades, lightweight and good hp/weight ratio.

Already have them (both)....

Atom and C7 Vette...

Actually the C7 counts as this purchase scenario as described in this thread (mostly)..... The Atom doesn't actually "count" in how this scenario is described as I sold the Hellcat to fund the Atom.. ZERO regrets.

What motor did you put in the Atom?

Well since i bought used (2015 model), I didn’t “put” anything in it.... I took what I could find. Which is the case many times with these cars - hard to find.

K24 normally aspirated - 230 HP in 1350 lb car

Despite not being the 365 HP bigger brother, it still hits 60 in the 3-ish range.... 100 in the 7-ish range.... TONS of fun....

Yes i will want more power some day, but I’m going to let my lap times dictate when I do that... when there’s no more time left for this drivetrain to give, then I’ll see about supercharging it..... OR maybe a NA tune... Just got to see... I have a lot of driving to do before i get to that point.
